Board Member Charles Evans

Elected to the board by the Harris County Mayors and Councils Association in 2004, Mr. Evans has a broad background in public service and local government, in addition to a long career in information services and marketing. He served six years as councilman for the City of Southside Place and was elected secretary of the Harris County Mayors and Councils Association in 2006 and vice president in 2007. Evans prior community service includes 11 years as emergency management volunteer instructor for both the Texas Department of Public Safety and the City of Pasadena.

He received the Distinguished Community Service Award from the American Red Cross and the Meritorious Service Award for EmergencyManagement from the City of Pasadena. Other activities include:

The University of Houston faculty
President of the local Sons of the American Revolution Chapter
President of several MUD boards since 1982
Various other boards and organizations

He is a captain in Southside Place Volunteer Fire Department where he has served since 1993.
